Overview

  • Existing along a continuum that runs from holding maximum control within the lead agency to more shared decisionmaking
  • Including everything from informal, emerging collaborative efforts all the way to sophisticated, mature, formalized bodies
  • Representative of the community, include a wide range of voices, and enable residents to have an active role in decisionmaking
  •  Successful when the lead agency creates and sustains an environment of trust and ensures collective accountability for specific desired results
