21 Jun 2010 |

The Department of Education just launched its new Data.ed.gov, “a one-stop shop for education data and allow practitioners, researchers, and the public to access data that can inform their work in classrooms and communities... to make the grant-making process more transparent to the public through this website by providing substantial amounts of easily accessible data about applications, applicants and their partners, while still protecting privacy and proprietary information.”

Data.ed.gov includes mapping, graphing and charting, and data exporting tools that let users to access actual data and engage with data in a meaningful way.

This pilot program is currently available for the i3 grant, but the Department states that it will release the Promise Neighborhoods component soon.
